Rolling Stone Prefab Capsule: Eco Friendly And Elegant

Competitions are usually a great way to foster the budding talents of creative designers and the entries of any competition would show you the unbelievable talents of a number of individuals. The Andes Sprouts Society held a designing challenge with the theme ‘Small is Beautiful’ and this is one of its entries.
The Rolling Stones travelling capsule was designed by Slovakia based Nice Architects. The aerodynamic capsule is extremely eco friendly, built from environmentally friendly materials. The Rolling Stones capsule takes its inspiration from gypsy wagons though these look aesthetically much better than wooden wagons common amongst gypsies. The capsule is designed to be towed behind a vehicle and houses a compact living structure. The compact structure can be opened up or expanded to create an open air space when it is not in transit. The outer wall of the Rolling Stone is made from
recycled aluminium can tiles.
A wind turbine or solar panel on top of the Rolling Stone ensures it produces its own energy. Housed comfortably for two, it allows a maximum capacity of six people. The Rolling Stone is also self-sufficient in terms of water use.
